Introduction to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is caused by a novel coronavirus now named SARS-CoV-2, the official name for the coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19.  It is important to protect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions.  As such, we are providing you with important information about the virus that we will update periodically for you.

We have developed four 15-minute CE offerings which cover the basics about the disease:

  • A Glance at What We Know About COVID-19
  • Pathophysiology and Prevention of COVID-19
  • Government Response to COVID-19
  • Potential Therapeutic Options for COVID-19

This one hour of CE programming can be found at this link.

Additionally, Indiana Pharmacy Social Distancing Options are Available at:  bit.ly/PurduePharmacyCOVID
